Becoming a Host

- Individuals, with or without children
- Couples with or without children
- In any case, the language spoken in the household must be English and of a reasonable standard.
- the Host Family must be willing to help the student to improve his/her level of English.
- Teachers must have qualifications and/or experience in teaching English.

- Adults of all ages
- Young workers
- Students
- Teenagers
of both sexes

who need to improve their level of English for professional, scholar or personal reasons.
It will be up to you to let us know of your preferences, should you have any.

- The “Students” we will refer to you have asked us to organise a stay with a British family to improve their level of English.

Therefore, we will ask that the language spoken in the household is English and that the “student” becomes part of the family life and spend time with his hosts.

As many of you have children who are bilingual, we insist that they only speak ENGLISH with the guest.

- We will ask that you complete our Host Family form and provide photos of a good quality.
Please be aware that the extent of information and the photos supplied will help the student or family to make a better informed choice : supply as much information as possible re your family interests and describe local attractions and activities that could be of interest to the student.


- Family Interests :
We are very concerned that the stays we organise are enjoyable for both parties and try therefore to match British hosts and students' interests. Consequently, it is very important that you mention any interests, pastimes, passions that you have or have had in the past.

- Your preferences :
when completing our Host family form, you will be asked for :
. further comments and information : please write here your preferences (ex : would not host children under age X, would prefer female or male student, will not host in the summer, etc…)

- Your availability :
We will consider that you are available to host unless told otherwise.
We make no obligation for you to host at all times but we need to know when you are not available.
Be as precise as possible when completing our Host Family Form and also let us know of any changes that may occur after completion of the form.
This is VERY IMPORTANT : If not informed otherwise, we will consider that you are available and will send your description to any possible guest who will be very disappointed if you are found to be unavailable.
